Tarek Rouchdy

Tarek Rouchdy is CEO of a consulting firm specialising in internal audit, risk management, corporate governance and fraud investigations.  As a UK-qualified accountant and Chartered Banker, he has over 40 years’ experience in these areas including holding positions such as Auditor General of the African Development Bank, Head of Internal Audit of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Chief Financial Officer of the Central Bank of Egypt.

In working with development banks for over 20 years, Tarek has audited and reviewed public and private sector projects covering among other things infrastructure, education, health, financial institutions and venture capital funds many of which involved fraud investigations.

His experience spans many locations including the UK, Egypt, Tunisia, Ukraine, Belarus, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Ivory Coast, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia and the Philippines.

Tarek holds a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo, is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Corporate Treasurers.
