New approach summary paper: UK aid’s changing approach to WASH

The Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) has today published its planned approach for a forthcoming information note on the UK’s water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programming.
The information note will provide an account of the development of the UK’s WASH portfolio between 2017 and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, how it has been adapted since, and how well the UK works with multilateral, NGO and private sector partners on WASH.
ICAI will explore where WASH fits within the UK aid programme, the role of WASH in the UK’s COVID-19 response, and the impact of recent budget reductions on WASH programmes and implementing partners.
