ICAI follow-up
We follow up on the steps the government has taken in response to our recommendations. This process is a key link in the accountability chain, providing Parliament and the public with an account of how well government departments have responded to ICAI reviews.
In July 2026, we published an initial update from the government on progress implementing the recommendations from the UK aid to Sudan review. We also published our assessment of the government’s update.
We will return for a more detailed assessment of the impact of these and other actions in April 2027.
